This institution was originally initiated with blessings of my Guru Vempati Chinna Satyam in 1994 during their tours in this country. Since then it has been taken up this interest as a responsibility to teach and promote this art. This institution is formed to advance the process of bringing the Kuchipudi art into the younger generation. The agenda of this institution includes teaching Kuchipudi dance, which is based on the guiding principles originated by Guru Vempati Chinna Satyam, producing dance ballets, and promoting the knowledge of this classical art of India in the American community at large. She is also certified in Yoga and she incorporates the Kuchipudi dance with Yoga to bring up a unique blend.
Dr. Subha Maruvada has been teaching Kuchipudi since 1992 after initiated by her Guru Padma Bhushan Dr. Vempati Chinna Satyam. Since then she taught in Penn State University, Boston, and Connecticut. She teaches in multiple locations in Maryland. She has given many lecture demonstration. Her style of teaching is very true to her nature and follows footsteps and style of her Guru.
Aasish Cherukupalli has been a student of Indian classical dance since the age of 10. He performed his debut under the able guidance of Smt. Satya Pradeep in Bharatanatyam and Kuchipudi. He has been receiving further training in Kuchipudi under Dr. Subha Maruvada and Smt. Sasikala Penumarthi.
